BIOGRAPHY

Ayaskant Baral was born and brought up in Odisha, an eastern state of India known for its rich heritage in art and culture. He studied filmmaking there with a specialization in cinematography from Biju Pattnaik Film & TV Institute. After his education, he moved to Mumbai and pursued a career as a cinematographer in various formats like commercials, narratives, music videos, corporate films & documentaries. Understanding the director’s vision, adding his own sense of aesthetics, and using the right filmmaking tools creatively make his works look like a real techno-art. The short film ‘Living Idle’ which he shot, brought him many accolades both nationally and internationally.
